Participants train for the legendary Leadville Trail 100 alongside champion trail guides Dave Wiens, Rebecca Rusch, Todd Murray and Gretchen Reeves
Life Time – The Healthy Way of Life Company (NYSE:LTM) announced today that registration is open for its annual Camp of Champions, a training camp that offers a firsthand experience in preparation for the country’s most scenic and challenging mountain bike course, the Leadville Trail 100 MTB. The Camp of Champions will be held in Leadville July 4-7 and July 8-11 with participants securing a guaranteed VIP entry into the August 10 Leadville Trail 100 MTB.
Camp of Champions participants will train at altitude while becoming familiar with key sections of the Leadville Trail 100 MTB course through group training and discussion sessions with race veterans. The Camp of Champions is led by four Leadville trail guides including six-time champion Dave Wiens, four-time champion Rebecca Rusch, and 2007 champion Gretchen Reeves, as well as 19-time finisher Todd Murray. Alongside guaranteed VIP entry into the Leadville Trail 100 MTB, camp includes:
- Pre-race warm up ride with the pros
- Mechanical support and a specialized bike fit clinic from Absolute Bikes and Cycles of Life
- Intimate dinner at the Tennessee Pass Cookhouse
- Movie night at the Historic Tabor Opera House
Nearly 2,000 riders, including many of the sport’s fiercest competitors, will participate in Leadville Trail 100 MBT – known as the country’s most prestigious ultra-distance mountain bike event – on August 10. Beginning and ending in the heart of Leadville, Colo., located 100 miles west of Denver, participants from all over the world will race on a demanding course with steep, technical climbs and descents and elevations ranging from 9,000 to 12,620 feet along the 104-mile out-and-back course.
