ROTH / FRANKFURT. /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Stripes meet endurance sport – Condor, the German airline based in Frankfurt, is the new transport partner at the world’s biggest long-distance triathlon. All triathletes as well as the volunteers in Roth can benefit directly from the new partnership.

‘With DATEV Challenge Roth, we will support all sports enthusiasts in reaching the finish line safely together,’ says Magdalena Hauser, Director Communications & Marketing at Condor Airlines. ‘We are delighted to be taking part for the first time in July and cheering on the athletes. We want to encourage this important target group in their passion for sport as part of the event, but also beyond that, and offer appropriate support when they are travelling.’

Global route network to make travelling to Roth easier

For Race Director Felix Walchshöfer, the partnership with Condor is also a very personal pleasure ‘I am fascinated by aeroplanes. I’ve been following the industry since I was a child and have always loved flying with Condor. I am therefore all the more delighted that we have been able to gain an industry leader in Condor as a partner in Roth. The airline stands for passion and, with its fleet modernisation, is a pioneer when it comes to customer comfort and responsible travel. These are ideal compliments to DATEV Challenge Roth. We particularly recommend that athletes from overseas travel to Germany with Condor for reasons of sustainability.’

Athletes from over 90 nations come to Roth every year for the triathlon race of the year. Thanks to newly expanded routes, especially to the USA, Condor makes it possible to fly to the highlight of the triathlon calendar with maximum efficiency. In the new A330neo, guests will travel with a fuel consumption of 2.1 litres per 100 kilometres. It is also the first long-haul aircraft in the world that is already certified for the reduction in CO2 emissions required from 2028.

With its global route network, Condor offers all sports enthusiasts the ideal starting point for training camps, races on other continents or holidays with the family.

‘Bicycle transport flat rate’ on Condor flights

This year, Condor is giving away starting places for the DATEV Challenge Roth for the first time and also offers excellent options for athletes all year round with a variety of active sports destinations.

With the Activity Card, you can take your own sports baggage on flights in Europe or worldwide free of charge for a year with a one-off booking. So nothing stands in the way of your next training camp or competition. Interested parties can book the Activity Card directly via the Condor website.

Flight vouchers in the volunteer raffle

The dedicated volunteers in Roth will also benefit directly from the partnership. Condor will provide flight vouchers for the raffle at the traditional volunteer party on the Monday after the race. This is certainly another opportunity for volunteers to make their dreams come true at DATEV Challenge Roth.
