With a focus on global racing brands and the traditional running space, Eventbrite has added Valentino and McMahon as its most recent hires
San Francisco, CA, April 14, 2015 — Eventbrite, the global registration and events marketplace, today announced the addition of endurance industry experts, Anthony Valentino and Tim McMahon, to its Endurance accounts team. The two key players in the industry have more than 16 years of experience in the endurance world combined and join Eventbrite from The Active Network and ImAthlete, respectively.
Valentino has worked with some of the biggest names in the international endurance industry including Ironman, Disney, and USA Triathlon. With an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and years of business development and strategic account management experience, Valentino takes a consultative approach in developing successful client partnerships. In addition to his passion for supporting the endurance business, he is also an avid participant, participating in events including IRONMAN 70.3, Ragnar Relay Ultra, and the Walt Disney World Wine and Dine Half Marathon. He joined the team April 13 as a strategic account executive and will focus on the traditional running space and strategic race management for global brands. He can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
McMahon is well known in the endurance industry for creating the original pricing strategy program that revolutionized the way race directors price their events and helped organizers dramatically increase revenues and registration numbers. Since 2010, McMahon’s program and the associated analysis has delivered millions of dollars in incremental revenue to events he has managed. His philosophy has also been the basis for presentations and conversation at leading industry conferences, road shows, and webinars throughout the world. McMahon joined the team April 2 as a strategic account executive and will focus on the traditional running space. He can be reached at email@example.com.
The team is led by Mike Coleman, a Running USA Board Member who came to Eventbrite from The Active Network in January of this year. “I am ecstatic about the addition of Anthony and Tim, two industry experts who have the deep knowledge and expertise to help our endurance clients excel and grow,” said Mike Coleman, Eventbrite Head of Acquisition, Endurance Sports. “Eventbrite is committed to addressing the complex needs of race directors and these key hires further position us for success towards making a measurable impact in the endurance industry.”
