Pro Triathlete Frederic Funk Joins Forces with Humango

Three-time Ironman 70.3 race champion joins Humango’s endurance roster which includes Matt Hanson and UTC-ButcherBox Cycling p/b LOOK; 2023 70.3 World Championship runner-up to introduce new virtual training club to users

Boulder, CO (April 25, 2024)/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Humango™, a revolutionary training platform integrating AI-powered technology, is excited to announce a partnership with professional triathlete Frederic Funk, a nine-time race winner and three-time Ironman 70.3 race champion. Funk is coming off his best race season of his young career, which saw him break the tape at Challenge races in Walchsee, Austria, and Samarkand, Uzbekistan, and Ironman 70.3 Zell am See in Austria. One week prior to his win in Zell am See, Funk placed second overall at the 2023 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Lahti, Finland with a time of 3:33:25, just 1:04 behind fellow German Rico Bogen. Funk’s 70.3 bike split of 1:55:13 was the fastest of any race participant.

Funk joins the Humango lineup just days after his 2024 race debut, which saw him place ninth overall at the PRO T100 in Singapore (3:31:24). Funk’s training regimen, which has seen him become one of the world’s elite endurance athletes, will be part of a new virtual training club on Humango called “What the Funk”. The platform allows for endurance and fitness enthusiasts to follow Funk’s training insight, tips, and race advice to meet their race day and health and wellness goals, while under the leadership and guidance of one of the triathlon’s elite stars.
