Nix Biosensors app available now in the Garmin Connect IQ store

February 22, 2023

Nix app lets users receive real-time data on fluid and electrolyte losses, sweat composition, and more on compatible Garmin devices.

BOSTON, MASS. /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Nix, the biosensor company delivering health and wellness data to consumers, today announced its new app is available now in the Garmin Connect IQ™ store for select Garmin smartwatches and cycling computers. Nix’s Hydration Biosensor, the first-ever device to analyze sweat and provide endurance athletes with personalized hydration data launched in December and is now compatible with Garmin smartwatches such as the Forerunner® and fēnix®, as well as Edge® cycling computers.

Nix users can get hydration insights through Nix’s native iOS and pending Android app, and now, if they have a compatible Garmin smartwatch or cycling computer, can view their hydration insights on their device – making it easier to know when to replenish their fluid and electrolyte losses.

“As critical as hydration data is to performance, it’s equally critical for that information to be delivered conveniently and actionably,” says Meridith Cass, CEO and founder of Nix. “By having hydration data available on an athlete’s existing Garmin device alongside the key metrics they already provide, Nix can be an even more convenient and effective tool for endurance athletes.”

The Nix biosensor Connect IQ app is available now for these compatible Garmin smartwatches and cycling computers.

The Nix Hydration Biosensor is now available for purchase at nixbiosensors.com and select specialty sport retailers for $129 and comes with one Pod, four Sweat Patches, one Charging Case, and one USB cable. The Sweat Patch Refill ($25) contains four additional patches.
