Canadian dairy brand unveils butter-churning running vest
June 5, 2026
Churning butter while running was already one of the year’s most unexpected fitness trends. Now, Canadian dairy brand Lactantia has created a product designed specifically for it: the Ultimate Butter-Churning Vest, an insulated vest that uses a runner’s stride to churn fresh butter in about 10 km.
“For 80 years, we’ve taken dairy very seriously,” Lactantia says. “It’s hard to just sit back and watch the… let’s say, less-than-perfect attempts on social media. So we decided to give butter-loving runners a little boost.”
The limited-edition vest is designed with pectoral pockets for “maximal kinetic impact” and a 3-mm neoprene insulating layer. It comes with a container to hold the cream and a kinetic ball to create agitation, helping to churn the butter. There’s even a dedicated slot for a butter knife and another for a slice of bread.
