Madison First Responders to Receive Critical Life-Saving Equipment from The IRONMAN Foundation and Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation

Grant applications now open for equipment to be awarded at 2017 IRONMAN Wisconsin triathlon
TAMPA, Fla. – The IRONMAN Foundation® and the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation have partnered to provide $25,000 in grant funding for Madison, Wisconsin first responder groups to purchase critical life-saving equipment in conjunction with the IRONMAN® Wisconsin triathlon on September 10, 2017. Now in their fourth year of partnership, this program has provided more than $334,000 in equipment to 26 first responder organizations in 12 IRONMAN race communities.
“First responders play a critical role in our communities and they are especially important on IRONMAN race days,” said Meghan Vargas, Senior Manager of Foundation Development for Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. “We want to be sure they have the tools and technology they need to keep athletes and spectators alike safe.”
Funds will be awarded to eligible groups in the Madison area. The deadline to apply is June 1, 2017.
