Wildflower Triathlon Legend Jesse Thomas Returns to the Iconic Wildflower Experience as Guest of Honor

April 20, 2026

Sharing exclusive insights from his historic six consecutive victories

Lake San Antonio, CA /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Wildflower Experience is thrilled to announce that six-time Wildflower long-course champion and triathlon legend Jesse Thomas will return to the iconic course this year as the event’s official Guest of Honor. While Thomas will not be competing, he will be a central part of the weekend’s festivities, giving fans and fellow athletes a special opportunity to hear from the “King of Wildflower” himself.

Thomas will headline a highly anticipated, live Q&A session from 5:00-5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 1, on the Festival Main Stage. He’ll share exclusive insights from his historic six consecutive victories, discuss his life post-professional racing, and answer questions from the Wildflower community. He will also be joining several of the ROKA clinics throughout the weekend.

Thomas will also present the coveted JT Award to an athlete embodying the grit and heart with which Thomas raced Wildflower every time he toed the line.  Awards will be presented at each awards ceremony.

“Wildflower launched my pro racing career in 2011, and it’ll always be my triathlon home. To come back this year with my son—to hang out, share stories, and celebrate the athletes who make this race so iconic—is incredibly special. I’m stoked to be returning this year with ROKA, to answer questions at the Q&A, and to cheer everyone on as they tackle those legendary hills and trails,” said Jesse Thomas

“Jesse’s legacy is permanently woven into the fabric of Wildflower. We watched him have his massive breakthrough here in 2011, and he went on to exemplify the courage and community spirit that this race is all about. He is true Wildflower family. Having him return not to race, but to share his stories, connect with the athletes, and soak up the festival magic with us, is incredibly special. We can’t wait to welcome him home,” said Colleen Bousman, Race Director and Owner of the Wildflower Experience.
