Running USA Launches Race Director Magazine

April 6, 2021

First issue of 44-page digital quarterly publication is now available

(April 6, 2021) – Running USA, the non-profit trade association for the sport of road running, is excited to announce a new digital magazine for race directors. Race Director Magazine (RDM)’s first issue is now available for readers interested in the running industry to explore and enjoy.

The first issue of RDM features an interview with TCS NYC Marathon race director Ted Metellus, articles on business takeaways from the pandemic, the future of virtual events, utilizing volunteers post-COVID and much more.

“RDM was developed with race director content desires front and center. This issue and future editions will include in-depth articles, interviews, race director commentary, data, perspectives and more,” said Dawna Stone, CEO of Running USA. The magazine is just one initiative that Stone and her team have been working on to support the running industry as live races begin to make a gradual comeback.

RDM will be published quarterly.  Readers will enjoy an interactive digital engagement experience, with the chance to link out to supplemental content like videos, take a survey, or visit our sponsored pages. Please click often to get the full value of the publication.

Running USA would like to thank the companies who came forward to support this first issue: Ashworth Awards, Leslie Jordan, Nicholas Hill Insurance, Nuun, Race Roster and Rhino Active.

If you are interested in sponsoring a future page of RDM, please contact Christine Bowen.
