Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon Weekend: A Resounding Success!

Over 3,200 runners participate in a weekend of running on the Coast

BILOXI, MS. /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon Weekend reached its peak on Sunday morning as participants from across the nation crossed the finish line with remarkable achievements in the Marathon and Half Marathon. The coastal landscape served as a stunning backdrop for the runners, who showcased exceptional athleticism and determination.

In the Full Marathon, the male and female champions demonstrated extraordinary speed and endurance. Jacob Plocher of Biloxi claimed victory with an impressive finishing time of 2:31:21, while Stephanie McNabb of Houma dominated the women’s division, completing the challenging course in 2:57:42.

Equally thrilling was the Half Marathon, where Alex Hebert of Youngsville, LA secured the top spot with a remarkable time of 1:14:17, and Courtney Cobb of Lafayette, LA triumphed in the women’s category, crossing the finish line in 1:23:39.

The Marathon and Half Marathon courses, beginning in Pass Christian and Gulfport respectively, provided a scenic and flat route, showcasing the beauty of Coastal Mississippi. Runners experienced unobstructed beach views, passed by historic homes, and culminated their journey with a grand slam stadium finish at MGM Park.
