Flying Pig Marathon Successfully Debuts with RACE RESULT Timing Technology
May 5, 2026

CINCINNATI, OH (May 5, 2026) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Flying Pig Marathon, one of the largest running festivals in the United States, successfully completed its first edition using RACE RESULT timing technology at the 2026 race weekend, implemented by Trinity Timing.
The event, which regularly attracts more than 40,000 participants across multiple race formats—including marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, and relay events—took place across downtown Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. The 2026 edition marked the first time the race utilized the RACE RESULT system, including the Ubidium timing system and foldable Ubidium Ground Antenna.
As the official timing provider, Trinity Timing was responsible for the full timing operation on site, relying on RACE RESULT technology as the backbone of the setup.
“We’ve been working with RACE RESULT for a long time, so there was a high level of confidence going into the event,” said Scott Langford of Trinity Timing. “That allowed us to focus fully on execution rather than the technology itself. Lead Timer Jeff Cochran affirmed the positive change in technology. “Setup was efficient, the system ran consistently across all timing points, and the overall workflow fit perfectly with the demands of a race of this size. A big thank you to the Pig Works team for placing their trust in us throughout this transition.”
“Events that want to grow and stay relevant need to keep evolving—and that includes the technology they rely on,” said Julia Bellamy, RACE RESULT Americas. “By working with an experienced timing partner like Trinity Timing and adopting a modern system, the Flying Pig Marathon has taken an important step forward. New technology simplifies race-day operations and opens up opportunities to further develop the event. Progress in this industry comes from those who are willing to move with the times.”
Following a smooth debut and strong collaboration between all parties involved, the 2026 edition sets the stage for continued development of the Flying Pig Marathon in the years ahead.
