EXEC: Asics Delivers 30 Percent Growth in Q1, U.S. Sales Expand 19 Percent

May 13, 2026

Asics reported a strong first quarter driven by SportStyle and running, with group sales and profits rising notably year‑on‑year.

Q1 net sales hit a record (about ¥208.3 billion), up roughly 19–20% year‑on‑year, led by SportStyle/Onitsuka Tiger and gains in Japan, North America and Europe.

Performance Running also grew (double‑digit in some regions), while SportStyle expanded fastest — SportStyle rose around the high‑40s percent on a currency‑neutral basis.

Gross margin and operating profit improved materially (gross margin up ~1–1.3 points; operating profit up about 30–53% depending on the metric/source), boosting profitability across regions.

Asics cited broad category and regional strength and has raised its outlook after the strong start to the year. SGB
