Event Southwest Showcases Rapid Adaptability and Logistical Precision Across Multistate Doubleheader Weekend
April 20, 2026

DALLAS, TEXAS (April 20, 2026) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Event Southwest, a premier event production and logistics agency, today announced the successful execution of concurrent major events across two states: the 2026 Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K in Frisco, Texas, and the Tulsa Heart Walk in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Managing all operational aspects of both events, ESW deployed separate veteran teams to ensure both events operated flawlessly despite unpredictable weather and last-minute course changes.
2026 Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K (Frisco, TX) Contracted to manage the course for the Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K, the Event Southwest operations team, led by Mason Wheeless, Senior Account Manager, executed a flawless event marked by meticulous community planning and proactive client support.
Navigating a complex, multiple zone urban course, the team’s precise execution of a stair step road closure schedule ensured minimal disruption to the surrounding neighborhoods. As a result of this meticulous planning, the event generated zero noise or traffic complaints to the local police department for the second consecutive year. Furthermore, the team’s integrated medical response plan received high praise from a participant who required transport, noting the exceptional, rapid care provided on the course.
Tulsa Heart Walk (Tulsa, OK) Simultaneously, an Event Southwest team led by Byron Brown, Account Manager, executed the Tulsa Heart Walk on behalf of the American Heart Association. The team successfully navigated severe Friday rainstorms that heavily delayed venue setup, ensuring the venue and course were perfectly prepared and safe for the thousands of weekend participants. Facing unseasonably hot event day temperatures, the team managed hydration stations flawlessly and ensured a safe environment for all walkers.
“Operating multiple large-scale events in different states on the same weekend is the ultimate test of our team’s depth and training,” said Matt Bannon, VP of Operations at Event Southwest. “Whether it’s recalculating a police road closure matrix 20 minutes before a start or keeping a client calm when torrential rain impacts setup, our teams treat event logistics as a true craft. We are incredibly proud to have supported our clients in delivering two safe, successful, and highly adaptive events this past weekend.”
