XLAB Launches 2 New Direct Bolt-Mount Hydration Systems for Triathlon Community

March 11, 2021

XLAB is very pleased to announce the release of two innovative, direct bolt-mount front hydration systems.  Each provides a lightweight aerodynamic advantage, secure bottle retention, and a fully integrated look for select Cervelo®, Trek® and Argon 18® bikes.*

The TORPEDO VERSA SLIM takes the popular Torpedo Versa 500 system and enhances it with a highly-adjustable carbon fiber slim plate, a high-gripping carbon fiber TORPEDO cage with 6 lbs of bottle retention force, a 768 ml (26 oz) refillable TORPEDO bottle, drink straw with bite valve and the revolutionary, telescoping computer mount. The adjustable computer mount places your computer right where you want it, supporting a wide range of brands including Garmin®, Wahoo®, Hammerhead®, Polar® and strap-mounted devices.

The TORPEDO KOMPACT 500 INTEGRATED simplifies the standard water bottle front hydration system of the current Torpedo Kompact 500, eliminating the unnecessary mounting pieces. The 3 main elements of the system include the carbon fiber RAPTOR cage with 6 lbs of bottle retention force, an insulated hyper-reflective COOL SHOT 600 ml (20 oz) bottle to keep liquids super cool, and an over the bottle computer mount for a bird’s eye view of your vital cycling data. The computer mount is compatible with Garmin & Wahoo computers and watches, with additional computer adapters available separately.

“Front hydration systems are essential when it comes to triathlon and that is why XLAB has dedicated years in developing the Torpedo line of systems you see today. Now, athletes with direct-mount aerobars can have the same all-in-one hydration and computer data system with a fully integrated look that supports the bike’s aerodynamic advantages.” CEO Candice Turner
