Turning Up the Volume: Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Announces New Half Marathon Elite Series

- New series to take place at eight Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series events, kicking off this February at the 2022 Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Las Vegas - Half Marathon Elite Series to offer over $100,000 in prize purses and points towards the Elite Beat Rankings leading to grand finale and bonus prize pool

TAMPA, Fla. (Feb. 8, 2022) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ –The Rock ‘n’ Roll® Running Series today announced a new Rock ‘n’ Roll EliteTM half marathon series that will take place across eight North America Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series events. Contested across the half marathon distances, each of the events will offer an elite prize purse awarded to the top 3 Male and Female elite finishers, as well as points towards the Elite Beat Rankings (EBR), earning the opportunity to compete for the bonus pool in the grand finale. The new series will launch at the 2022 Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Las Vegas on February 26-27 and culminate in a grand finale at the 2023 edition of Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas.

The new competition aims at offering world-class runners the opportunity to showcase their talents and profile on a consistent series wide scale. Athletes from across the world will have the opportunity to toe the start line of many of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series events while running toward notoriety and prize purses.

Ranking points will be awarded to the top-10 finishers in each event. Elite competitors will be able to enter and score points at any of the series events, with up to five (5) of their top scores counting toward their final EBR to earn a piece of the series bonus of $30,000 awarded to the top five overall ranked runners after the 2023 grand finale in Las Vegas.

An ongoing leaderboard will be posted on the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Elite athlete page and updated after each series event.

Elite athletes meeting the time criteria for joining the Rock ’n’ Roll elite wave will all receive standard complimentary entry and be included in the ongoing EBR ranking.
