Tri The Wildwoods Triathlon Celebrates 20 Years

DelMoSports’ Flagship Event continues to thrive and make an impact in the community

North Wildwood, New Jersey, August, 2023/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – What started as a bit of a “side hustle” for Stephen Del Monte in his hometown of North Wildwood NJ, The Tri the Wildwoods Triathlon has become the foundation for the meteoric growth of DelMoSports as one of the leading multisport production companies in the Mid-Atlantic. This August 26^th,  the event will celebrate its 20^th anniversary and will be better than ever. Beginning with barely 300 athletes in 2004, the 2023 Stampone Law Tri the Wildwoods will welcome over 1,100 athletes to compete in Sprint and Olympic distances and a super fun “wild child” tri for the kids.

“I’m not sure I could have predicted this 20 years ago,” said Stephen Del Monte, CEO/Founder of DelMoSports. “We have lived and learned a lot over the past 20 years, with all kinds of crazy things that happened at TTW. From a sailboat stuck in the middle of the swim course, to the timer van sinking in the sand on the beach, to surviving Hurricane Bill and making it through the pandemic, TTW has stood the test of time as an important community event. We are immensely proud of our partnership with the Lunch with Lynch Foundation; our athletes have raised over $65,000 to support this local youth community enrichment program. And we are equally grateful to our partnership with Stampone O’Brien Dilsheimer Law who joined us as our title sponsor in 2020 to further support our community efforts.”

A multi time event industry award recipient, The Stampone Law Tri the Wildwoods Triathlon is both a beginner friendly and challenging race experience, with a calm ocean swim, fully closed road bike course, a beautiful beach run and the best post-race party for all athletes. “We’re looking forward to kicking off another 20 years this weekend,” said Del Monte. “There is nothing better than welcoming everyone to my hometown.”
