14th Annual TMC Old Tucson Trail Run Highlights Tucson Tourism

/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – For fans of the wild west, the 14th Annual TMC Old Tucson Trail Run is a 4-Mile or 1-Mile journey through the scenic desert trails of Old Tucson, nestled among the beautiful Saguaro cactus forest in the western foothills of the Tucson Mountains.

“Our goal is to bring runners and walkers to this beautiful part of the country,” says race director Randy Accetta. “This is the first year since the COVID outbreak that this event will take place. It’s Tucson Rodeo weekend, so this is a perfect time for a western-themed trail event. We’re thrilled to be back entirely on the grounds of Old Tucson.”

Old Tucson is the site of hundreds of classic films and television shows, such as Gunsmoke, Rawhide, the Quick and the Dead, Arizona, the Young Riders, and more. The race starts and ends at the High Chaparral and Bitter Creek sets, with a course through the Old West Main Street and along the single track horse trails and sandy washes of the Sonoran Desert.
