In addition, the IRONMAN Foundation will distribute an additional $80,500 in charitable giveback to non-profit initiatives and groups in the greater Madison region in conjunction with the 2018 IRONMAN® Wisconsin triathlon taking place on Sunday, September 9, bringing the total awarded to date to $1,127,500 to more than 200 local organizations.

“Both of our organizations strive to show our deep appreciation for our first responders,” said Robin Peters, Executive Director of the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. “We are proud to collaborate with the IRONMAN Foundation year after year by providing these first responders with life-saving equipment and impacting so many of our communities.”

“The IRONMAN Foundation is honored to recognize the live-saving sacrifices of the brave men and women who are on the front lines of their communities,” said Michael Lynn Sills, IRONMAN Foundation Community Relations Manager. “It is our privilege to partner with the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation and support their mission. Additionally, the IRONMAN Foundation, in partnership with FLO Cycling, will host a “Bike for a Kid” pop-up service project in the IRONMAN Village on September 6 and 7. IRONMAN Wisconsin athletes, along with their families and friends, are invited to visit the IRONMAN Foundation booth to assemble a bike for local kids in need.
