Runtastic and adidas give athletes unique rewards and benefits with new Adidas running and Adidas training apps
September 25, 2019
Pasching, September 25, 2019 – Today Runtastic, one of the world’s leading companies in the digital health and fitness space, and parent company adidas, a global player in the sporting goods industry, reveal the new adidas Running and adidas Training apps – which directly reward athletes for completing runs and workouts.
Fresh off the success of Run For The Oceans in June 2019, where Runtastic and adidas jointly recruited 2.2 million athletes around the globe and raised $1.5 million to fight marine plastic pollution, the two brands are taking the next step in their quest to connect and empower athletes around the world: apps that reward runners and athletes with exclusive perks and special offers for being active. In accordance with the companies’ core belief – Through sport, we have the power to change lives– the newly named adidas Running and adidas Training apps will connect directly with the adidas membership program for added motivation to stay active.
Rewards for Creators United by Their Passion for Sports
The free adidas membership program is currently available in the US, the UK, and was just recently launched in Germany under the name Creators Club. Within the next few weeks, Creators Club will be made accessible in the adidas Runtastic apps in these countries, so that every kilometer run with the adidas Running app and every workout done with the adidas Training app will be rewarded with points to get access to exciting benefits like early access to adidas products, special offers and promotions, or access to top-class events. Further benefits and expanded availability will be added.
Immediate Benefits on a Global Scale
Once athletes become part of Creators Club via their adidas Running or Training apps, they will collect points for every km run and every training session completed to level up in the Creators Club.* To offer a smooth experience, users will soon be able to log in to all apps and platforms within the adidas universe with just one single account, whether for running, training, or purchasing. In addition to a huge, global online community, adidas and Runtastic also connect fitness fans and runners in real life through local communities like adidas Runners in 60+ cities all around the world.
The Perfect Time for a Brand-New Brand Identity
As Runtastic and adidas combine their app experiences and rewards more closely, they will do the same with the overall brand: as of today, all Runtastic communication channels will be run under the name adidas Runtasticto underline the close connection between the two brands. For a seamless user experience, the two main apps have also been renamed from Runtastic and Results to adidas Running by Runtastic and adidas Training by Runtastic.
With the new design, the iconic Runtastic blue will disappear and give way to a new, modern look and feel. The apps will shine in a fresh teal, accompanied by adidas’ powerful black and white as a neutral base. Along the way, further design updates were made to improve readability and user friendliness. From now on, users will instantly recognize their favorite running and training apps by the adidas logo – the famous three stripes.
*Some limitations apply, please see Creators Club program details for more information.
