Road Runner Sports Signs on as Official Sponsor of Phoenix Marathon App and Live Athlete Tracking

As Road Runner Sports expands in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area, this new partnership will continue to elevate the local running community.

As part of this sponsorship, Road Runner Sports will act as the official sponsor of the Phoenix Marathon App and the Live Athlete Tracking. Road Runner Sports will be in attendance at the Phoenix Marathon Health and Lifestyle Expo on Dec. 11, 2026, to support every runner as they gear up for race day. This cutting-edge technology gives spectators real-time access to their runner’s progress on course, including current location, average pace, estimated finish time, and more. In addition to tracking performance, the platform creates a more connected race-day experience by allowing spectators to send live motivational messages directly to participants. These messages are delivered through the runner’s headphones in real time, providing an added boost of encouragement exactly when it’s needed most.

The 2026 Phoenix Marathon is set for Saturday, Dec. 12. The event will offer three distances: a marathon (26.2 miles), a half marathon (13.1 miles) and a 10K. All three distances will feature courses that reflect the city’s authenticity, diversity and vibrancy, and will be run completely within the City of Phoenix. The city signature marathon course offers a unique tour through Phoenix, showcasing the Valley of the Sun. Registration for the 2026 event is now open.
