Riese & Müller will leave US market in July

Riese & Müller will pull out of the U.S. market this summer, citing “challenging and increasingly volatile market conditions.” U.S. dealers can place orders for Riese & Müller e-bikes and cargo bikes until July 31. Afterward, new product orders will no longer be accepted. Available products at U.S. dealers will remain on sale while supplies last.

“Given the current circumstances, it is more important than ever for us to focus our efforts on our core markets and strategically bundle our capacities,” said Dr. Sandra Wolf, Riese & Müller CEO.

The brand said in a news release it will focus more on its European markets, including its sales and dealer network. “The aim is to unlock market potential in core regions, deepen collaboration with retail partners, and strengthen the company’s market position in a sustainable way,” according to the brand.
