Raise your FTP 5% during this Tour de France!

And Enter to Win a H2 Smart Trainer!

Bedford, VA:  June 11, 2019: Peaks Coaching Group (PCG) is offering a 4-week FTP Challenge, designed to supercharge training and raise one’s FTP during this year’s Tour de France. The challenge–comprised of training plans, webinars and Q&A sessions–runs June 29 through July 28 and is personally guided by PCG Master Coach Dr. Chris Myers. The power-based workouts mimic the Tour de France, requiring between 8-12 hours of commitment a week.

“I’ve been looking forward to this challenge for a while now because it’s all about power,” said Hunter Allen, Founder, CEO and co-author of “Training and Racing with a Power Meter.” “The TdF 4-Week FTP Challenge will take grit and determination, but it’ll be worth it when you push yourself and your FTP farther than imagined.”

Integrating the best scientifically proven training principles, this challenge will cultivate the best conditions to help you improve your health.  With steady-state threshold, VO2max, anaerobic work, and recovery, this program strikes a balance that will give you the chance to raise your FTP by 5%, if you are willing to step up to the challenge!

“I’m fired-up to help challengers raise their FTP,” said Myers. “I created the training plans and educational program because I am all about helping people achieve their goals and feeling that rush of success when they finally do. And for challengers who hit their TSS numbers, weekly prizes from sponsors will be awarded–and one person will win a H2 Smart Trainer from Saris!”

The Tour de France 4-Week FTP Challenge is available for $99 at http://www.peakscoachinggroup.com/peaks-coaching-group-tour-de-france-ftp-challenge

About Chris Myers, Ph.D.

Peaks Coaching Group Masters Coach Dr. Chris Myers is working on several writing projects with Hunter Allen. His athletes continually rise to the top of their respective fields on the National and International scene.

About Hunter Allen

Legendary cycling coach Hunter Allen is the co-author of Training and Racing with a Power Meter, which has sold over 120,000 copies and is available in over 20 languages. He co-authored Cutting-Edge Cycling and co-developed the industry-standard TrainingPeaks’ WKO+ software.  The 3rdedition of Training and Racing with a Power Meter was released in early 2019, offering even more pioneering insight to the principles of power training.

Widely known as one of the top experts in the world in coaching endurance athletes using power meters, Hunter Allen’s goal has always been to teach athletes how to maximize their training and racing potential through professional analysis of their power data. This goes hand in hand with his philosophy that a power meter helps athletes discover their true strengths and weaknesses, quantitatively assess their training improvements, and refine and maximize the focus of their training.
