Puerto Princesa to Host The IRONMAN 70.3 Asia Triclub & Relay Championship this November

PUERTO PRINCESA, Philippines / TAMPA, Fla. (May 9, 2023)/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – IRONMAN today announced that the IRONMAN® 70.3® Puerto Princesa triathlon taking place on November 12, 2023, will be designated as the 2023 Asia TriClub and Relay Championship for 2023. Puerto Princesa joins the 2023 Global IRONMAN TriClub Championship Series as the tenth event internationally and the first TriClub Championship held in the Philippines. Located at the heart of Palawan, Puerto Princesa City is a tropical paradise with a bustling urban center, making it a perfect destination for a team race-cation. The events rolling course and scenic backdrop make for an epic race day, with options for athletes to race individually or as a relay.

“On behalf of Puerto Princesa City, I would like to thank IRONMAN for giving us the honor of being the first and only Asia TriClub Championship and Asia Relay Championship as we hold the IRONMAN 70.3 for the second year,” said City Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron. The Mayor announced a prize money of Php500,000 will be awarded to the winner of the Asia TriClub Championship, courtesy of Puerto Princesa City.

Ten events across five regions currently make up the Global TriClub Championship Series in 2023, including IRONMAN 70.3 Panama, Athletic Brewing IRONMAN 70.3 Oceanside, IRONMAN 70.3 Marbella, IRONMAN Australia, IRONMAN 70.3 Victoria, Carilion Clinic IRONMAN 70.3 Virginia’s Blue Ridge, Maytag IRONMAN 70.3 Steelhead, IRONMAN 70.3 Maine and IRONMAN Wisconsin.
