PodiumRunner and Women’s Running Launch New Trail Running Content Experience

Boulder, Colorado, USA — June 26, 2020 — PodiumRunner and Women’s Running announce a new Trail Running Collection of online features, how-to, and in-depth gear reviews on their new websites. The content, available across both Women’s Running and PodiumRunner, collects the latest trail running content into one easy-to-access digital experience that is optimized for both desktop and mobile devices. While both websites have published trail running content in the past, the new, curated site elevates existing stories while delivering a renewed focus on a higher frequency of new articles covering a wide range of trail running topics.

“The goal is to foster a growing community of trail runners by offering a hearty mix of articles to appeal to all levels of experience—from total beginners, to crossover road runners, to experienced trail runners, to elite trail running competitors, and ultrarunners of all levels,” says Lisa Jhung, who is a veteran trail runner and lead editor for the new Trail Running Collection.

Recently-posted features within the new digital experience include a look at what trail runners have always known about wearing masks (“The Surprising Upside to Covering Your Face on a Run”), a review of gear-stashing waistpacks (“The 8 Best Trail Running Waistpacks”), and a discussion on how to respect and care for others during the global pandemic (“Trail Running Ethics in a Time of Coronavirus”).

“We are thrilled to offer a larger breath of content that supports the trail running community,” says Run Editorial Director & Women’s Running Editor-in-Chief Jen Ator. “More than ever, people need the outdoors to find some normalcy in their lives. We hope our new Trail Running experience will encourage increased participation by giving readers the resources and inspiration needed to get started, as well as fresh advice and service from the country’s top coaches and experts to help more experienced trail runners perform at their best.”

The Trail Running Collection is the second curated digital experience recently created by PodiumRunner and Women’s Running as part of a growing initiative to offer catered, high-quality service and exceptional user experience. It joins the new How to Start Running Collection, sponsored by SABRE via Women’s Running.
