Parlee launches Limited Edition in honor of late founder, Bob Parlee

Developed on Parlee's new Z-Zero GT platform, also announced today, the firm has worked with leading suppliers around the world to develop a truly unique collectors item. Designed to be ridden. Only 25 will ever be produced.

Beverly, MA .ENDURANCE SPORTSWIIRE/ – In 1999, Bob Parlee left his storied career as a boat builder to make the best bikes in the world, and he woke up every day working relentlessly toward that goal.

Bob was a visionary, crafting some of the world’s finest carbon fiber road bikes, known for their incredible ride quality, and also for pushing forward the state of the art as an early adopter of aerodynamics, disc brakes, and electronic drivetrains.

We had the privilege of working hand in hand with Bob each day until his untimely death from cancer in late 2024. As we carry on his work, we wanted to build a bike to honor him and his vision.

Introducing the 25th Anniversary Edition Z-Zero GT

The execution has been in development for more than a year, but the formula is simple.

Start with the best possible road bike, the new Parlee Z-Zero GT, then source the best possible components without regard to cost.

Hand it off to the most skilled painters and mechanics, and give them time and space to make something beautiful.

The result is this: The Z-Zero GT 25^th Anniversary Edition is the best bike money can buy and a worthy homage to our founder, leader, and friend, Bob Parlee.

To celebrate 25 years of Parlee history, only 25 of these beautiful machines will be produced. Each one will be meticulously custom made for the owner, and we won’t ever make more of them.

All 25 Z-Zero GT Anniversary Editions are custom built exclusively for each owner, with component selection tailored to their fit data to ensure a perfect fit from the very first ride.

Each bike ships with a pair of custom designed Lake shoes made exclusively for the owner, a Silca SuperPista Ultimate floor pump hand-painted to match the frame, and a signed set of Silca tools packaged in a wooden case.

MSRP is $29,990, delivery is slated for late Fall 2025.

Inspired Details

The 25^th Anniversary Edition bike’s details are directly inspired by things Bob said or did.

He was never far from a pad of paper and a pencil, and those pads were full of sketches. His doodles were the inspiration for our head badge, and we’ve incorporated more nods to Bob’s work on this bike…but our favorite is this:

Bob was a quiet person, preferring to work at the bench than talk on the phone. People would approach him at a race or ride and ask him to describe the nuances of the ride quality or the performance of one of his bikes and he would often just hand them a bike and say “try it”.

After a while we all joked that his response to any question about the bike would be to just “ride the f***ing bike!”

This one is for you, Bob. RTFB!
