Outspoken: Women in Triathlon Summit Announces partnership with Headsweats

Denver, Colorado, USA — October 16, 2019 – The producers of the Outspoken: Women in Triathlon Summit presented by Triathlete Magazine are excited to announce a Juno level partnership with Headsweats for the Summit this fall, November 15th – November 17th in Tempe, AZ.

The Outspoken Summit, in its second year, aims to move the conversation about women in triathlon beyond participation numbers towards a critical analysis of women’s continued marginalization in the sport. It encourages attendees to explore some of the small and large ways all women continue to experience exclusion as athletes and as leaders in triathlon. Collectively, attendees will develop solutions to these persistent problems.

This year, the Summit has a formidable line up of keynote speakers: triathlon legend Sally Edwards, professional triathlete Sarah True, military leader and Fast Chix founder, Col. Yvonne Spencer, and Dr. Rachel McKinnon, professional cyclist and trans rights advocate. Gabriela Gallegos, founder of the Mighty Mujer Triathlon series and USAT board member will also be speaking at the inaugural Women in Triathlon Awards Banquet.
