Olympian Kara Goucher Joins Opening Panel at 2020 Running USA Conference

The running industry is undergoing a time of transformation. Industry’s leading event will address it head on in an opening session panel.

(Nov. 5, 2019) – Olympian and celebrated distance star Kara Goucher is the final panelist for the opening panel discussion at Running USA 2020 on Feb. 10, which will also feature prominent speakers in sports and media who have led transformative organizational changes.

Kara Goucher is a professional runner, bestselling author of Strong, founder of Podium Retreats and KG Strong girls camp, proud mother and loving wife. She graduated from the University of Colorado with three Division I NCAA champion in cross-country, the 3000m and 5000m. She is a two-time Olympian, an American record holder, World Championships silver medalist, and one of the most accomplished American female distance runners of all time.

In addition to her professional resume, Kara is an inspiration to people everywhere. She is an advocate for clean sport and women’s rights, and she connects with organizations and non-profits that are making a positive impact. Her partners include OiselleAltra RunninggoodrSpring and nuun.

Goucher joins previously announced panelists Paul Rabil, a professional lacrosse player and co-founder of the Premier Lacrosse League, and Patrick Stiegman, Vice President and Editorial Director, Global Digital Content, overseeing the development of ESPN’s digital editorial content around the world.
