BOSTON, MASS. — NOVEMBER 16, 2022/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Nix Biosensors today announced that it has been named a CES® 2023 Innovation Awards Honoree for its first consumer product, the Hydration Biosensor, in the Digital Health category. This year’s CES Innovation Awards program received a record-high number of over 2100 submissions. The announcement was made ahead of CES 2023, the world’s most influential technology event, happening Jan. 5-8 in Las Vegas, NV.

The CES Innovation Awards program, owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, is an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in 28 consumer technology product categories. An elite panel of industry expert judges, including members of the media, designers, engineers and more, reviewed submissions based on innovation, engineering and functionality, aesthetic and design.

Nix is changing the way humans practice healthcare by offering new ways to access, understand, and act on our personal biology. The Hydration Biosensor, which is available for preorder today and launches in December, is a consumer biometric device that provides a personal hydration strategy by analyzing sweat, and telling you when, what, and how much to drink in real time. A small patch that sticks to your skin, Nix reads biomarkers, without needles, to determine fluid losses, electrolyte losses, and more. At launch, the Nix Hydration Biosensor is targeted at endurance athletes, with future applications in team sports, military, and laborer segments.

“It’s an honor to be recognized for our contribution in the digital health space,” said Meridith Cass, founder and CEO of Nix Biosensors. “Our view is that biosensors will be among the most transformative technologies shaping the way we practice healthcare, with the consumer at the center of healthcare innovation.”
