USMES Boulder, CO; AeroCamp Morrisville, NC – April 23, 2019 – AeroCamp is renewing its partnership with US Military Endurance Sports (USMES), and the military athletes of USMES will be attending 2019 AeroCamp alongside their civilian counterparts.
“AeroCamp has worked with dozens of pros, like Heather and Trevor Wurtele, Kirsty Jahn, Eric Lagerstrom and of course USMES professional triathlete and Air Force Veteran Brad Williams,” said Marcus Farris, USMES Triathlon Team Coordinator. “Affiliation with this elite aerodynamic and fit camp helps us serve our members at an even higher level.”
AeroCamp will be held at the A2 Wind Tunnel in Morrisville, NC, May 8-9, 2019, and this year Brian Stover and Heath Dotson of AeroCamp are teaming up with Dave Luscan, one of the top tri bike fitters in the US, to offer a complete bike fitting and one hour of aero test in the A2 Wind Tunnel. This is the first time professional fitting combines with professional wind tunnel testing to provide triathletes and cyclists the ultimate optimization session.
“Our triathletes worked with Brian Stover last month when he coached the USMES training camp in Tucson,” said USMES Executive Director Mandy Midgett. “We are fortunate that Brian and his colleagues Heath Dotson and Dave Luscan are reserving spots for our members at this year’s Aerocamp. For our military athletes and Veterans, activity and community are key to remaining ‘fit for life.’”
The May AeroCamp is open to all cyclists and triathletes (not just members of USMES), although space is limited. “Our goal is to help you get faster,” said Stover. “Athletes in our AeroCamps have saved 20+ watts of drag.” Aerodynamics are an incredibly individual thing. The helmet or position that is optimal for one person is a disaster for another. “As part of AeroCamp at the A2 Wind Tunnel you can fine-tune your position, finding the optimal helmet, clothing and storage solutions,” said Stover, “allowing you to carve minutes off your bike split or TT PR.”
