The newly formed company offers 50 races across five states
DURHAM, North Carolina — Kinetic Multisports is excited to announce it has launched with 50 events across five states in its opening season of triathlon.
Formerly known as the Virginia-Maryland Triathlon Series, the company acquired Piranha Sports over the winter and expanded its race footprint to include triathlons in Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
The race season kicks off April 7 with the Smithfield Sprint, followed later in the month by the Rumpus in Bumpass and Richmond Tri Club Sprint. In May, Kinetic Multisports shifts into the big ring with Smith Mountain Lake, New Jersey Devilman, Kinetic, General Smallwood, and St. Mary’s. From sprint to long-course, we have all athletes covered.
Racing will continue throughout the summer and into the fall with events such as the Culpeper Triathlon Festival, which includes a gran fondo cycling event, the Patriot’s Triathlon Festival, the Giant Acorn Triathlon Festival, and SavageMan — which now features 60- and 80-mile races.
New events on our calendar for this year include the Rumpus in Bumpass, New Jersey Devilman, Independence, Tri It, Diamond in the Rough, Top of Delaware, North East, DiamondMan, MarshMan, and Pleasants Landing. With new and returning sponsors in 2018, including our official swim partner ROKA, we have a great year lined up.
