Marmot Continues Success with Ever-Expanding WarmCube® Collection to Now Include WarmCube Active Insulation

February 8, 2022

Marmot evolves innaovative WarmCube technology into new active-focused insulation pieces for 2022

Rohnert Park, Calif. — Feb 8, 2022/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Marmot continues to innovate with its award-winning WarmCube insulation technology, adding an active line for fall 2022 focused on high-output cold-weather adventures. WarmCube Active technology is a revolutionary temperature-regulating technology that allows air to circulate in the jacket as you move, while the insulation cubes trap air to help keep you warm when you stop. Marmot incorporated many field testers for the brand new WarmCube Active Novus and WarmCube Active Alt HB hoodies that comprise this collection, and they loved the way the pieces made them feel cooler under high-effort activities like ski touring, scrambling and hiking steep terrain.

The WarmCube Active Novus hoody is a great all-around insulation piece and is incredibly versatile. It  is a perfect jacket for wearing as an outer layer when playing hard outside in the cold, or layering under a shell when the weather turns inclement. This piece replaces every insulating mid layer in your quiver and extends your range of insulation by adapting to a larger spectrum of body temperatures and different levels of exertion.

The WarmCube Active Alt HB hoody brings this technology to not only a layering piece but something that will help keep athletes warm from start to finish during their cold-weather endurance efforts. When high activity and mobility matter most, the WarmCube Active Alt HB hoody provides stretch, air-permeable fabrics to increase breathability and core warmth that you can wear for your entire workout. Channels between the down pockets allow air to circulate between and around the insulation so cool air helps keep the temperature steady as you heat up. The WarmCube Active Alt HB hoody has 700 fill down for core warmth with minimum weight and stretch comfort. Excess warmth and sweat evacuate through air channels, and air-permeable face fabric lets it escape.

“After mountaineering in the WarmCube Active Alt HB hoody, I think the concept absolutely works. I was able to vent heat much more efficiently than a regular puffy. Once we started moving uphill, I could wear the jacket without needing to add or subtract layers for extended periods of time, which means fewer transitions and a smother day overall” – Mallorie Estenson, Mountain Guide for the American Alpine Institute.*

“The WarmCube Active Novus hoody/jacket packs down small and feels considerably warm for its weight. I like that I can trust the synthetic insulation to perform even when wet.” – Ben Kitching, Marmot Ambassador, Rogue River and Smith Rock.*
