PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. / TAMPA, Fla. (January 9, 2019) – It has been announced that the Iron Girl® Pleasant Prairie Triathlon presented by Kenosha Subaru has been named as a finalist for the Triathlete Business International’s (TBI) Triathletes Choice Best-of Events for the Best Time To Tri First-Timer Event. Voting is currently open through midnight PST on Friday, Jan. 11, with winners being announced at the 2019 Annual TBI Conference held on January 25-27.
The Iron Girl Pleasant Prairie women’s triathlon will be entering its sixth year running, with the 2019 event taking place on Sunday, August 11 at Prairie Springs Park in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. The event offers a sprint distance triathlon (1/2-mile swim/11-mile bike/3.1-mile run) and duathlon (1.75-mile run/11-mile bike/3.1-mile run) giving women of all ages the chance to come together as a community. The swim takes place in the beautiful Lake Andrea, a spring fed lake, while the bike and run courses both travel through the beautiful Prairie Springs Park.
