GFNY heads to Bali, the Island of Gods
NEW YORK CITY, July 2017 – GFNY, the global cycling marathon series, continues to expand its brand in Indonesia with a second race, to be held in Bali. Sanur, the seaside resort town on the southeast of the island, will host the inaugural GFNY Bali on February 4, 2018.
“We are very excited to introduce GFNY Bali, the second GFNY race in Indonesia,” said Lidia Fluhme, President and co-founder of GFNY. “Bali offers the complete package for cyclists and families looking for a cultural, relaxing and fun vacation in paradise.”
The beachside host town, Sanur, is Bali’s oldest upscale resort area. Offering a quieter way of life to its neighboring towns, it boasts lush tropical gardens flowing onto stunning white sand beaches and has an abundance of shopping, fantastic restaurants and accommodation options for every budget.
“Bali is not only an interesting cycling destination, but also one of the most famous destinations on the earth,” said Axel Moeller, Organizer of GFNY Bali. “We have created a course that will give riders the chance to see the natural beauty of Bali that will include breathtaking views to Lake Batur from the crater rim of the Batur Volcano. The warmth of the Indonesian people will make GFNY riders and their families feel very welcome.”
Registration is now open at gfnybali.com.
