iFit-Powered NordicTrack Treadmill Awarded PCMag’s Editors’ Choice

November 3, 2020

The vast library of iFit workouts gives you so much room to grow as an athlete

(LOGAN, Utah, November, 3 2020) — iFitthe patented, interactive, connected fitness technology, is the key feature that led PCMag to award its coveted Editors’ Choice to the NordicTrack Commercial 2950 treadmill.

“[iFit technology] is really what sets NordicTrack’s machines apart. Instead of having to push a button or turn a dial to increase your pace or incline, the machine does it for you,” PCMag’s smart home and wearable device analyst Angela Moscaritolo said. “I can’t stress enough how much this elevates the workout experience. During hikes, the incline will start to go up right as the instructor starts climbing a hill. It makes you feel like you’re working out right alongside them.”

iFit’s automatic, hands-free adjustments are a proprietary feature to iFit-enabled NordicTrack treadmills allowing:

  • For a more realistic outdoor experience because iFit technology adjusts the treadmill’s incline and decline to match the natural terrain of the trail during iFit Global Workouts
  • The iFit trainer to adjust the the incline, decline and speed during iFit Studio Workouts, so members experience a well-designed workout that safely and effectively pushes them towards their goals

iFit Global Workouts are shot and produced on location around the globe, allowing for breathtaking scenery. iFit Studio Workouts provide a boutique workout experience, often combining running or walking with bodyweight and dumbbell exercises off the machine. Classes vary in length from 15-120 minutes, and range from beginner to advanced.

“The Commercial 2950 and its vast library of iFit workouts gives you so much room to grow as an athlete,” PCMag’s Moscaritolo said. “It’s the excellent iFit content like the Southern Utah Walking Mini Series, French Polynesia Workout Series, and Virtual Solidarity March for Black Equality, that not only keeps me coming back to work out on the Commercial 2950, but makes me excited to do so. The videos are well produced, the trainers are excellent, and there’s a huge variety of options.”

Also spotlighted in PCMag’s review are iFit’s Live Outdoor workouts— a feature unique to iFit — and leaderboard, both which encourage iFit member’s to embrace friendly competition as a way to level-up their workouts.

“Winner or not, I had a lot of fun competing on the leaderboard. The workout was extremely challenging—one of the hardest I’ve ever done, and I ended it dripping in sweat and feeling incredibly proud of myself that I kept up the whole time,” PCMag’s Moscaritolo said. “The 36 minutes flew by, because I was having fun trying to make it to the top of the leaderboard and looking at the beautiful scenery.”

PCMag also highlighted the large touchscreen display on the NordicTrack Commercial 2950 as a “pro.” At 22 inches, the display enhances the iFit interactivity features, creating a dynamic experience that allows exercisers to become fully immersed in the workout.

The NordicTrack Commercial 2950 treadmill is available for purchase on the NordicTrack website, Best Buy and Dick’s Sporting Goods for $2,999, and comes with a one-year iFit membership, a value of $468.
