Half-Marathon Walking Division Added to Probility Ann Arbor Marathon Event Lineup

ANN ARBOR, MI /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Epic Races announced a new walking category to The Ann Arbor Half Marathon which is part of the Probility Ann Arbor Marathon weekend of events. Walkers can now comfortably participate in this annual community event, walking the 13.1-mile course through the city of Ann Arbor to earn their finisher’s medal. Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers overall in the male/female/non-binary divisions.

I’m excited to be able to offer the opportunity for walkers to experience that finish line feeling.”

Epic Races has shared a 12-week training plan for those interested in joining this year’s Walking Division. Participants in the division will need to finish in 4 hours, 30 minutes which is a 20-minute per mile pace. The half-marathon follows the first 13 miles of the full marathon course.

This year will be the 11th running of the Probility Ann Arbor Marathon which is run entirely within the city of Ann Arbor. It features a full marathon (26.2 miles individually, or as a 4-person relay), a half-marathon (13.1 miles), a 10K, and a 5K. All races will start and finish at S. Ashley and Liberty Streets. The full marathon will start at 7:30 a.m. with an early start option at 6:00 a.m. All other races will start at 8:30 a.m. For registration and more information visit www.annarbormarathon.com.
