Enduro MTB Training founder and long-time coach, racer, and trainer, Dee Tidwell, announces the expansion of his performance and strength training programs beyond the MTB discipline with Train to Ride, changing the way cyclists approach strength training.

/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Enduro MTB Training founder and long-time coach, racer, and trainer, Dee Tidwell, announces the expansion of his performance and strength training programs beyond the MTB discipline with Train to Ride, changing the way cyclists approach strength training. Train to Ride is now offering cycling-specific programs and plans for road, gravel, and moto, while still keeping the original Enduro MTB programs for Enduro, XC, DH, and eMTB.

Train to Ride will continue with Coach Dee’s comprehensive training approach and soft tissue therapy designed to foster an environment of success, winning, and athleticism that he has seen in training mountain bike riders. From gold-medal-winning Olympic snowboarders to PGA Tour winners, Tidwell has trained and coached thousands of competitive and non-competitive athletes over the past thirty years. Combine that with decades as a DH and enduro racer, and it’s these experiences that have honed his unique approach to working as a coach and trainer.

“One of the big reasons I originally started Enduro MTB Training was to specifically help gravity-based mountain bikers achieve their wildest goals whether they were racers, distance chasers, or weekend warriors in nature,” Coach Dee says. “But this is crucial for all disciplines. I want to help road and gravel riders expand their perceptions and training repertoire to gain the obvious benefits of a full-body strength and fitness protocol to their training.” – Coach Dee on introducing Train to Ride

The foundation of Tidwell’s programs is built on proper strength and mobility work which enable riders to move well both on and off the bike. “A body that moves well can accomplish incredible feats while remaining injury-free,” Tidwell says. They are designed to address each rider’s performance indicators, including posture, flexibility, joint mobility, stability, breathing mechanics, strength-endurance, and power. Each program is built with the same core values in mind, optimizing each rider’s ability as an athlete to increase performance on and off the bike. Programs are built using Train to Ride’s “Performance Pyramid”: with built-in progression and an active recovery week, all of which are crucial to overall growth and development.

“Drop bar riders are chronically stuck in the same positions for long periods of time, and the scientific community has proven how bad the repetitive cycling posture is to the body and health. However, we also know how powerful the benefits are from being active in the gym and working on these performance indicators,” Coach Dee explains.

Riders will have the option of one-on-one email support and resources such as custom pdf training manuals, instructional HD videos, email support, and more. In addition, all workouts can be completed in a limited space using essential equipment and everyday household items, making them ideal for at-home training and travel.

Along with Tidwell’s Enduro MTB Training programs, riders can also choose from 90-day road and gravel programs starting at $59, a 6-month moto program at $99, a monthly membership option for all cyclists at $39 per month, and personal coaching options for those who want a program built specifically for them no matter the sport.
