Stamford, CT, Release: May 21, 2020
deboer wetsuit is proud to support Robert Wilkowiecki and his project IronWolf PL8H. Wilkowiecki will aim to complete an indoor Iron-distance triathlon in less than 8-hours, while raising funds for Fundację FizjoTRIterapia– a Polish organization dedicated to helping disabled children participate in sport. Wilkowiecki is the current Polish Ironman record holder, going 8:06:45 at 2019 Ironman Barcelona.
“I would like to beat my national record and get my time for the full Ironman distance below 8-hours. Sub-8 is a huge barrier in triathlon, and if I can break it I will prove to myself that if I can do something like this at home, I can also achieve such result in an Ironman when racing is back to normal. I will be motivated all day knowing that I am raising funds for Fundację FizjoTRIterapia, their mission of providing disabled children with the opportunity to participate in sport is a cause close to my heart.” Robert Wilkowiecki, Polish Ironman record holder.
“We are thrilled to support Robert in his attempt to complete an indoor Ironman in under 8-hours while raising funds for a great cause with Fundację FizjoTRIterapia. Over the last couple months we have all been doing a lot more indoor training, but there aren’t many of us who would consider completing an indoor-Ironman! We’re looking forward to following the coverage on Saturday.” Alex de Boer, co-founder of deboer wetsuits.
