As Thanksgiving Approaches, Eventbrite Case Study Looks at Growth and Success of the Sixth Largest Turkey Trot in the U.S.
Eventbrite, the world’s largest self-service ticketing and registration platform, has released a case study outlining how the Dana Point Turkey Trot has used Eventbrite to fuel growth and manage their race. An annual tradition in many communities across the country, Thanksgiving Turkey Trots were the most popular holiday-themed run on Eventbrite in 2014, followed by Halloween runs, and then Christmas-themed runs.
Named one of America’s Best Thanksgiving runs by Fitness Magazine, the Dana Point Turkey Trot had more than 17,000 participants in the 5K, 10K, and Kids’ Gobble Wobble last year. The three person registration team successfully used Eventbrite to greatly reduce the number of inbound customer support calls and streamline their back-end registration processes. Eventbrite also helped their team increase registration page impressions and Facebook followers.
- With Eventbrite, the Dana Point Turkey Trot:
- Decreased customer service calls by 90%
- Garnered 15K impressions with Eventbrite promo tools
- Increased Facebook followers by 75%
