Debrief Notes – 2026 Boston Marathon

Credentials:

• Adding an option on media credential applications for if you’re a partner/sponsor
• Remove media truck option – we know who is going to get it, many request it and do not have qualifications
• Content creator aspect of credentials

Emails:

• Timeline: multiple going out in one day, dates switching of different emails going out

Race Week Logistics:

• Moving into the Fairmont on Wednesday instead of Thursday
• Timing for 5K morning: 5 am, 6 am, 6:15?

Communications:

• InDesign: media guide
• Getting files for quotes from student workers: text group chat

Content:

• Content following races: no content from invitational mile or youth mile at 7 pm on race day; only one post of 5K; still no youth mile content as of 9 a.m. Sunday
• No direction for freelancers

Events

• B.A.A. person to help check people in at B.A.A. gives back instead of interns – more helpful with logistics, knowing who they are, such as road runners team etc.
