COROS Pro Athletes head to Chamonix to take on the world’s best at UTMB

Brand athletes s representing 4 countries take on CCC, OCC, TDS and UTMB in Chamonix this week, including race favorites.
Tustin, CA, August 27, 2019 – COROS Wearables Inc., makers of innovative GPS watches is supporting 14 of its professional athletes and ambassadors representing 4 countries as they take on the world’s best at the Ultra Trail de Mont Blanc in Chamonix, France. Amongst the group of highly competitive athletes are Hayden Hawks and Tim Tollefson, ranked 1st and 3rd in the field based on ITRA points. Tim, a two-time podium finisher (2016, 2017) and Hayden, the 2017 CCC Champion are amongst the favorites for the 2019 UTMB. Should one of the two leave Chamonix victorious, they will be the first ever American male to claim the UTMB crown.
Joining Tim and Hayden in Chamonix for UTMB’s premier race are – Harry Jones (UK), Jason Schlarb (USA), Timothy Olson (USA), Canhua Luo (China), Jing Liang (China), Sally McRae (USA) and Maite Maiora (Spain). Olson was the 4th place finisher in 2013, while Schlarb finished 4th in 2014 becoming the first American runner to finish the 100+ mile race in under 22 hours.
Along with the premier race of the week, COROS runners will be competing in three of the other highly competitive races, including the 101km CCC, 56 km OCC and 145km TDS. Taking on perhaps the most mountainous of the week’s races – TDS are Jordi Gamito (Spain) who finished 3rd overall in the 2018 UTMB, and Hillary Allen who heads to Chamonix for the first time taking on the longest race of her career.
Representing COROS in the OCC is Yangchun Lu (China), winner of the 2019 HK 100, and in the CCC are a pair of Spanish runners – Azara Garcia and Aroa Sio Recknold. In addition to the sponsored runners, there will be several more COROS users looking to make their way around the largest mountain in the alps from France, through Switzerland, Italy and back to France again.
