Competitor Group Appoints Molly Quinn as Vice President of Triathlon Events

Quinn will support growth of expanding Land Rover TriRock Triathlon Series

San Diego, CA – May 9, 2012 – Competitor Group (CGI), the leading active lifestyle sports media and event entertainment company, announced today that Molly Quinn has been named Vice President of Triathlon Events. Quinn will help lead the marketing, sponsorship activation and event management of CGI’s expanding portfolio of triathlon events, which includes the Land Rover TriRock Triathlon Series and The Nation’s Triathlon To Benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Washington DC’s premier triathlon event.

Most recently, Quinn oversaw the integrated marketing, management and logistics for Washington Sports & Event Management, former operators of The Nation’s Triathlon To Benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Additionally, she is a USA Triathlon Level I Race Director, recipient of the 2011 Presidential Community Leadership Award from the President’s Council on Fitness and Sports Nutrition  and currently serves as the Executive Director of ACHIEVE Kids Tri, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing inner city youth access to fitness and nutrition through triathlon training.

Quinn is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison and competed on the Varsity Crew Team. She is a lifetime competitive swimmer and enjoys participating in and organizing events of all sizes.
