Tustin, CA, February 5, 2019 – COROS Wearables Inc., makers of innovative GPS watches is introducing Six new Road Runners to its Pro Athlete Team. Led by 2 time Olympian and 2018 Boston Marathon Champion Des Linden, the COROS Team also boasts partnerships with US 25k Record Holder Parker Stinson, 2018 US Marathon Champion Emma Bates, Grandma’s Marathon Course Record Holder Kellyn Taylor, along with rising stars Reed Fischer and Samantha Bluske-Palmer.

The athlete signings mark an expansion of the young brand, as it looks to duplicate its tremendous success in the trail running market. “Our roots are in Trail and Ultra Running and we have no plans to slow down our contribution to the sport. We also see a fantastic opportunity to expand our commitment to the global running community by partnering with a fantastic group of road-running athletes – all with their eyes set on representing the USA in Tokyo at this summer’s Olympic Games,” said COROS Director of Global Sales and Marketing Dan Suher.

On his signing with COROS, Boulder, CO based Parker Stinson said, “I am extremely excited to announce that I have signed a long term contract with COROS. The goal of everyone working at this company is not only to explore what perfection means but to push its very limits.” Seconding this sentiment, Boise, ID based Emma Bates said, “I am so pleased to be teaming up with COROS. This company has proven their technology around the track, on the roads, and through the trails. When you are aiming to achieve your highest level of fitness, you need a watch you can trust to be accurate every time. COROS, for me, has been that and more.”

While all Six athletes have qualified for the Olympic Marathon Trials to be held in Atlanta later this month, they each bring a diverse set of experiences and backgrounds to the COROS brand. “With athletes of their caliber, we know they have plenty of options when it comes to GPS wearables. We take great pride in our product and that they have chosen to use COROS for their training in this all-important Olympic year,” said COROS CEO Lewis Wu. Wu continued, “Our Pro Athletes are truly members of our team in every sense, we will work with them closely to develop new features to enhance the marathon training experience.”

Des, Parker, Emma, Kellyn, Reed and Samantha along with several brand ambassadors will wear the COROS APEX when they race for their spot on Team USA.
