BolderBOULDER Reveals 2015 Race Tee Designs

New to 2015- bold new colors, designs and fabrics

BOULDER, COLO. (January 6, 2015) — BolderBOULDER, the third largest running race in the United States, has announced its 2015 official race gear. The colored race T-shirts and Helly Hansen high performance technical tee were given a new color pallet for 2015 to accompany a modern twist on a retro design and an Americana approach to the ever-popular Boulder flatirons that are often associated with the race.

“In considering this year’s designs and tee colors we took a very close look at apparel and industry trends,” said Matt Jenkins, Director of Marketing. “We feel that this year’s designs demonstrate the pride and tradition of the BolderBOULDER while also making the tees very wearable and stylish.”

The men’s and woman’s short sleeved tees are a cotton/poly blend shirt that wicks away moisture and reduces shrinkage even on preshrunk garments.  This year’s shirts come in a casual heather red color for men and a deep blackberry color for women. The concept of the American flag is abstracted as Boulder’s Flatirons to inspire a sense of local pride.

The Helly Hansen men’s and woman’s high performance VTR T-shirt is a relaxed athletic shirt with X-Cool quick-dry fabric for moisture management. The men’s tee comes in a fashionable racer blue, while the woman’s tee comes in a heathered lavender and is the perfect shirt for high-intensity exercise training like the BolderBOULDER 10K. This design stays true to the notion of movement and agility through the use of clean edges, but gives a nod to retro styles with a distressed texture. This year’s technical tee shirts are true to size.

This year’s long-sleeved shirt features the classic BolderBOULDER running man logo nestled in the 2015 date. The shirt also has linear accents and is reminiscent of typography from the time period of the inaugural race; 1979.

For the youth racers, a crisp mint green tee will be available in with kids’ sizes with the option to order an adult extra small and small Helly Hansen high performance technical tees.

Anthem Branding in Boulder, CO along with Genesis Inc. in Denver, CO designed the 2015 gear.  Genesis Inc. has been the primary creative agency for the BolderBOULDER since 1979 and Anthem Branding has been a long-time partner of the race.

If race participants do not want a tee with registration they have the option to donate the T-shirt value to the CU Scholarship Fund or donate the T-shirt to Samaritans Purse, a humanitarian aid organization.

Race registration includes choice of short sleeved, technical and long sleeved tee. The short-sleeved shirt package is $45, the long sleeved package is $55 and the Helly Hansen high performance technical tee package is $60 through February 28th. Racers who want all three T-shirts have the option to purchase the Bolder package for $75. Discounts are available for seniors, military and kids 14 years-old and younger.
