ATRA’s 25th Anniversary Challenge – spring edition – opens registration

Run, walk, or hike 25 miles in 25 days and accumulate 2500 feet of elevation
Colorado Springs, CO – The American Trail Running Association (ATRA) has opened registration for its spring virtual challenge. This is the third in a series of challenges designed by ATRA to celebrate its 25th anniversary and inspire the community to experience the outdoors and enjoy the trails whether running, walking, or hiking. As part of the challenge, individual participants can opt in to be profiled on ATRA’s trail news section at trailrunner.com to share their personal trail story.
ATRA’s Spring Challenge 25 is hosted on the FitRankings platform and gets underway on April 1 and runs through April 25. Participants set a goal to run 25 miles and gain 2500 feet of elevation over the course of the Challenge with product from KINeSYS Performance Sunscreen going to the top mileage participant and top elevation participant.
“We have enjoyed participating in, and tracking ATRA’s 25th Anniversary Virtual Challenges,” said Nancy Hobbs, ATRA executive director. “These events have been fun and welcoming to people near and far and with encouragement and support via our dedicated ATRA 25th Anniversary Challenge Facebook Group, everyone can stay engaged.”
Trail runners around the globe can register here and participate in this fun, virtual challenge complete with leader boards with distance and elevation. Registration starts at just $25. Be sure to use the hashtag #ATRAChallenge25 on social media posts and join ATRA’s 25th Anniversary Challenge Facebook Group.
To become a member of the American Trail Running Association please visit ATRA’s membership page. Membership is not necessary to participate in this challenge.
