ATRA publishes podcast resource

November 23, 2020

Directory includes over 40 listings

Colorado Springs—- Fifteen years after Apple launched 3000 free podcasts on iTunes, there are now over 700,000 active podcasts and over 55 percent of Americans have listened to a podcast. Trail runners are no exception to this trend. In fact, two of the earliest – UltraRunnerPodcast and Trail Runner Nation are almost a decade old while 16 of the podcasts listed below were started in 2020.

To help the trail running community stay connected with the latest news, personalities and trends in our sport, the American Trail Running Association (ATRA) has created a directory of 42 trail running podcasts (in alphabetical order) with links to some of our favorite episodes.

“During these challenging times, finding a connection to the trail running community in a virtual manner is more important than ever before,” said Nancy Hobbs, ATRA’s executive director. “Sharing this resource provides unlimited listening time for the end user. Learn tips from top trail runners, get training advice from coaches, and delve into topics from overcoming challenges to diversity and inclusion.”

The podcast directory was compiled over the past two months and includes many new and growing podcasts. A sample entry from the directory reads like this:
