The Bovine Classic Partners with Capriroso to Elevate Training for Seriously Unserious Gravel Riding

June 11, 2026
  • Bovine 5.0 riders gain access to adaptive coaching platform designed for the demands of mixed-surface endurance cycling
  • Every Bovine rider receives complimentary adaptive coaching designed for segment-format racing and distance resilience

PASO ROBLES, CA (June 11, 2026) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/The Bovine Classic, California’s most seriously unserious cow-themed gravel cycling event, today announced a partnership with Capriroso, a performance and longevity platform built to help endurance athletes understand their bodies, manage training load, and extend their athletic lifespan.

Bovine 5.0 takes place October 24, 2026, in Paso Robles and Atascadero. Beginning this year, all registered riders receive complimentary access to Capriroso’s adaptive coaching platform. The partnership recognizes a simple truth: while The Bovine Classic celebrates community, camaraderie, and terrible cow puns, the riding itself is genuinely demanding—but in a unique way.

Unlike traditional first-to-finish races, The Bovine uses timed segments to determine podium finishers. This approach lets riders attack hard during specific segments, then mosey with friends between them. It’s a different kind of challenge: the ability to generate explosive effort in periods while maintaining the resilience to go the distance across three challenging course options (Big, Feisty, and Happy Bovine). Success requires more than fitness. It requires understanding when to push, when to recover, and how cumulative stress influences performance across an entire weekend of riding, racing, celebrating, and recovering.

Capriroso serves as the intelligence layer for endurance athletes. By integrating biometric data, and training history, the platform translates complex physiological signals into clear guidance around readiness, recovery, workload, and long-term progression. Rather than replacing coaches or prescribing generic workouts, Capriroso helps athletes make better decisions in the context of their own lives, goals, and physiology.

“The Bovine is built on a contradiction,” said Bryan Yates, Executive Producer of The Bovine Classic. “We’re playful and irreverent, but the terrain doesn’t care about your sense of humor. Our riders show up because they want to test themselves in a beautiful place with good people. And our segment-format approach means they need to be ready for both explosive efforts and distance resilience. Capriroso helps them arrive ready for that unique challenge. It’s the perfect complement to what we’re building.”

Through the partnership, Bovine Classic riders will receive:

  • Complimentary access to the Capriroso platform
  • Performance and recovery insights tailored to gravel cycling demands
  • Training load guidance designed to complement coaching, not replace it
  • Access to exclusive Bovine community features

Capriroso Founder Chad Eubanks emphasized the natural alignment between the two organizations.

“The Bovine community embodies exactly what Capriroso was built for,” said Eubanks. “They want to ride hard today while protecting their ability to keep riding hard for years to come. Performance and longevity aren’t opposing goals. They’re part of the same conversation, and that’s where Capriroso lives.”

The partnership will be activated across Bovine communications, the welcome email sequence, and festival experiences throughout 2026, with additional community-specific integrations rolling out as we approach October 24.

Longer term, Capriroso aims to understand the specific physiological demands of every event, course, and segment so athlete guidance can continuously adapt to the terrain, elevation profile, pacing requirements, and environmental conditions unique to each experience.

Rider onboarding and access details will be provided at registration.
