PeopleForBikes Coalition + Bicycle Product Suppliers Association = One unified bike industry association

BOULDER, Colo. (Jan. 15, 2019) – The PeopleForBikes Coalition and Bicycle Product Suppliers Association (BPSA) are now one unified trade association. We’re using the power and expertise of our volunteer industry leaders to advance initiatives critical to growing bicycling participation and the bike industry.

More than 80 leaders of PeopleForBikes Coalition and BPSA member companies have stepped up to volunteer on five new and returning committees.

The BPSA Trade Association Committee (TAC) is the successor of the BPSA Board – one visionary group that guides PeopleForBikes’ work on pro-business policy, trade, tariff, networking events, statistics and research and developing future industry leaders. The TAC collaborates with the PeopleForBikes Coalition board.

To ensure industry growth and focus, four subcommittees work on specific initiatives:

  • Research and Statistics Subcommittee:Grows the bicycle industry through insightful and actionable research and market intelligence.
  • Membership, Events, Education and Marketing Subcommittee:Solicits new PeopleForBikes coalition members and improves member benefits. Shapes industry conferences/continuing education and works with the PeopleForBikes Foundation, which activates our 1.3 million members and partners with advocacy organizations and local governments on new and improved bike infrastructure.
  • E-Bike Subcommittee:Advances e-bike policies and eMTB access through research, advocacy, policy and marketing.
  • Legal, Legislative and Safety Subcommittee:Advances policies and legislation that supports and increases bike sales, access and ridership and fights tariffs and taxes on bikes and bike products.

The PeopleForBikes Coalition board, TAC and subcommittees focus on growing bike riding and helping bike businesses thrive. Interested in seeing which 80 industry leaders are involved in our boards? Click here.
