Wallis Sands Half Marathon Purchase

January 6, 2020

Portland, ME – All Sports Events and its TriME events management division is excited to announce the recent acquisition of the Wallis Sands Half Marathon from Pursuit Racing. All Sports Events has worked closely with Steph Murray and Pursuit Racing since 2012.

The addition of the Wallis Sands Half Marathon to All Sports Events and the TriME Triathlon events calendar is the next step in the company’s goal of providing athletes with the best racing experience possible. “We are excited to add this fantastic running event to our existing lineup of high-quality races,” states Jenna Ginsberg, founder of All Sports Events. “We look forward to continuing the great work Steph has done building the race and taking it to the next level.”  All Sports Events will continue to improve the services offered to participants, spectators and families beginning with the 2020 Wallis Sands Half Marathon, scheduled for Sunday, May 17th.  Leading up to the event, athletes will notice enhancements, including a new website with easy-to-use mobile friendly integrated online registration and discounts on packages with other races. Additionally, All Sports Events will provide live athlete tracking and cheers through RaceJoy in May 2020 for the event.

As a premier timing and events management company in New England, All Sports Events has a long history of bringing the most advanced technology to event operations, management, and sports timing; as well as pioneering participant-focused services such as live searchable results, live results at the finish line, text messaging and athlete tracking. Other races owned by All Sports Events and operated by its TriME subsidiary include the Polar Bear Triathlon / Duathlon in Brunswick, ME (May), the Sebago Lake Triathlon in Standish, ME (June), the Wallis Sands Triathlon, in Rye, NH, (September) and the Pumpkin Harvest Half Marathon in Bethel, ME (October).

Pursuit Racing owner Steph Murray commented, “although, it is bittersweet for me to retire as a race director, I am excited about handing over the reins for the Wallis Sands Half Marathon to All Sports Events. They have a long connection with this race, and I know they have the technology, capacity, and drive to make it better than it has ever been.” Steph and her family moved away from the NH Seacoast a few years ago, and she noted “it was important for me to find the right company to continue the legacy of this special race I conceived 9 years ago. This race is personal for me and I wanted to make sure the runners were in good hands.”

The Wallis Sands Half Marathon is known as for its coastal beauty with amazing scenery and flat course.

Registration will open on November 1. Athletes can go to www.wallissandshalfmarathon.com to register.
