Collaboration brings Swiss-engineered thermoregulation technology to one of pro cycling’s most successful teams.
ZURICH, SWITZERLAND (December 4, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – CORE, the Swiss-engineered body temperature sensor used by elite athletes worldwide, today announced a new performance partnership with UAE Team Emirates-XRG, integrating real-time core temperature monitoring into the team’s training, racing, and environmental preparation strategies for the 2026 WorldTour season.
The partnership strengthens CORE’s presence at the highest level of global cycling and deepens the team’s commitment to data-driven performance, heat adaptation, and athlete well-being amid increasingly variable racing conditions.
“UAE Team Emirates-XRG sets the modern standard for innovation in cycling,” said Ross McGraw, US CEO of CORE. “Integrating core temperature into their performance model reflects a forward-looking approach to racing in a warming world, not to mention a desire to leverage the performance benefits that come from a dedicated heat training protocol. Supporting them with the most precise thermographic data possible is going to enable them to stay on the top step under any conditions.”
Developed and manufactured in Switzerland, CORE’s non-invasive sensor continuously measures core body temperature through advanced thermal-energy-transfer technology. The device is already used by many leading pro cycling teams, with one independent review noting it was “used by the majority of WorldTour and Women’s WorldTour teams.” This partnership gives UAE Team Emirates-XRG and CORE the environment to operationalize core-temperature data into heat training as well as race-day and recovery protocols for heat adaptation.

“Heat-management is a major performance differentiator in modern cycling,” said Jeroen Swart, Head of Performance at UAE Team Emirates-XRG. “CORE provides the data backbone to individualize our strategy. Of course the tool is only as valuable as our application of it and we intend to utilize this tool throughout our camps, racing, and recovery workflows.”
Through the collaboration, UAE Team Emirates-XRG will integrate CORE’s latest sensor, CORE 2 — lighter and more streamlined than prior-gen versions — across altitude camps, environmental scouting prep, and key races. The goal will be to support pacing, thermal-load control, and accelerated recovery in any condition, showcasing a shared commitment to innovation, elite performance, and athlete health in one of cycling’s most accomplished racing teams.
