Stages Cycling Introduces Factory Installed Power for 12-Speed Dura Ace and Ultegra

December 17, 2021

New options now available for Shimano’s R9200 and R8100 Cranks

(Boulder, CO – December 17, 2021) Stages Cycling, a leading cycling technology company, has expanded its Factory Installed Power Meter Service options to include Shimano’s latest 12- Speed Dura Ace R9200 and Ultegra R8100 cranks.

For now, Stages will offer Factory Installed Dura Ace R9200 and Ultegra R8100 power meters as single-sided, non-drive side Stages L units only, which is the same technology ridden to countless professional wins including Tadej Pogacar’s 2020 Tour de France victory. Drive-side Stages R crank arms and dual-sided Stages LR cranksets for Shimano’s 12 speed groups will be made available in 2022, both as in-stock units and Factory Installed Service Options.

Like all Stages power meters, Factory Installed Stages power meters are built and individually calibrated in Boulder, Colorado to the same exacting standards of performance, accuracy and reliability as the rest of their product line, including the Stages Bike SB20 Smart Bike and models found in some of the biggest indoor cycling studios.

Factory Installed power meters offer customers a means to get a power meter installed onto their existing crank in about three weeks from the time the order is placed. The $324.99 purchase price includes two-way shipping.

“Stages Factory Installed power meters are among the most affordable paths to accurate, reliable power,” Sean Coffey, Stages Global Marketing Director, said. “And with current industry-wide product shortages affecting new crank inventory for all models, our Factory Install Service is probably the quickest way to get a world class, precision power meter on your bike and start training.”

Stages will also have limited quantities of new Gen 3 Stages Power L Shimano Dura Ace R9200 and Gen 3 Stages power L Shimano Ultegra R8100 built power meter crank arms in stock while supplies last.
